Position Summary:
The
Porter is responsible for the cleanliness of the building and grounds by performing the following duties.
The position of
Porter is not exempt from the overtime provisions of the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act and shall be entitled to overtime compensation for hours worked more than 40 in any one work week.
Porter shall be accountable and supervised by the
Director of Facilities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Monitors building and grounds to ensure a neat and clean presentation and environment.
- Performs various cleaning activities to include sweeping and mopping all tile surfaces, polish as necessary all floor space, and vacuum carpeted areas.
- Ensures all cleaning supplies are stored in appropriate areas.
- Cleans rest rooms to include disinfecting toilets, sinks and floors, and restocking rest room supplies as needed.
- Removes trash and disposes of in designated areas.
- Maintains all equipment to include: vacuum cleaners, trash cans, mop buckets, cleaning supplies.
- Ensures security of building during and after completed jobs and reports and security violations to management.
- Reports the need for any major repairs to management.
- Reports and repairs emergency maintenance problems and/or environmental hazards immediately.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and/or safety procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Clean all warehouse locations Freezer, Cooler and dry areas of dust, trash, cardboard, wrap, wood, and any other debris in the areas.

Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift 90lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop and kneel.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Pallet Jack experience preferred or willing to be certified.
4:00am to 12:30pm or until finish
