    Description


    Job Description

    A medical office is seeking a Medical Assistant to work Mondaythrough Friday from8 a.m. to5 p.m.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Assist patients to exam rooms and obtain complete and accurate vital signs
    • Obtain and document all pertinent information in patients charts using EHR system prior to examination
    • Anticipate and assist in minor surgical procedures
    • Maintain timely patient flow, room availability, patient safety, and confidentiality
    • Clean, stock, and maintain exam rooms, and participate in clinic duties; clean and sterilize instruments and ordering supplies
    • Maintain and monitor all equipment used for patient care and testingand report any discrepancy to supervisor
    • Ensure appropriate handling and accurate documentation of all medications ordered by the provider
    • Timely follow through with all referrals generated

    Job Requirements

    Job Qualifications:

    • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
    • Must have 1 year of on-the-job training in back office procedures
    • Knowledge of medical terminology and knowledge of CPT/ICD 10 is needed
    • Must be computer literate with experience with EMR/EHR
    • Must be able to pay strict attention to detailwhilemulti-tasking efficiently and effectively
    • Must be able to understand and observe legal concepts;HIPAA, confidentiality, etc.
    • Must have the ability to work under pressure within time constraints and to act calmly and effectively in a busy or stressful situation
    • Must be able to exhibit a professional and positive demeanor at all times
