- Under physician's guidance, carries out basic patient care tasks such as taking vital signs, weighing patients, and collecting specimens (including phlebotomy as needed). Supports providers in patient examinations, treatments, and procedures. Helps with clinic patient management.
- Handles phone calls, records messages, and supports providers with patient-related communications.
- Assists in arranging test appointments, communicating results, and pre-certification processes.
- Records patient information accurately.
- Assists providers with prescription refills.
- Administers medications and immunizations as per provider instructions.
- Cleans and restocks examination rooms, ensuring equipment cleanliness as per policy. Orders supplies and maintains sterile techniques and universal protocols.
- Completes assigned clerical tasks like finding patient charts, filing, and form completion.
- Attends meetings, in-service training, and fulfills other assigned duties.
- CERT
- Current LVN License in employment state or compact
- BLS certification
