    Job Title: Junior Human Resource Specialist

    As a Junior Human Resource Specialist, you will support managers, program staff and customers with HR topics including staffing, classification, benefits, recruitment compensation SES programs work-life programs policy employee labor relations.

    • You will process personnel payroll actions keying payroll documents processing leave audits creating vacancy retirement payroll folders researching waiver hearing requests scanning documents into various systems assisting drafting SOPs processing personal liability insurance reimbursement claims initiating tentative selection notifications notice results disposition letter researching compiling information on federal HR topics responding general HR guidance applicants staff maintain employee files provide wide-ranging administrative support to managers program staff duties may include manage calendars screen phone calls visitors make travel arrangements coordinate conference meeting preparations agendas correspondence spreadsheets open routes incoming mail makes files maintains agency guidelines monitor office supply inventories upload documents SharePoint draft SOPS Process complex cases involving pay leave time attendance administration waivers FERCCA cases review management requests prepare evaluation reports assist developing guidance other training managers employees resolve errors discrepancies provide advice base pay overtime or leave entitlements
