Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a crucial role in conducting various laboratory tests and experiments. Your expertise will contribute to the advancement of scientific research and development. This is a full-time position with competitive pay.
Responsibilities:
- Perform clinical, technical, service, and administrative tasks in a medical laboratory setting.
- Conduct technical procedures in Molecular Pathology, Tumor Cytogenomics, and Flow Cytometry according to established policies and procedures.
- Perform regular maintenance and troubleshoot instrumentation and equipment as needed, maintaining detailed documentation.
- Conduct quality control and calibration procedures, record results, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records including patient requisitions, laboratory information system documentation, and statistical data.
- Consult with supervisors or pathologists on critical results and sample issues, ensuring proper communication with healthcare providers.
- Prioritize tasks to meet turnaround time expectations and assist in inventory control for supplies and reagents.
- Participate in departmental performance improvement activities and adhere to safety procedures and compliance policies.
Requirements:
- B.S. in Medical Technology or equivalent education to meet NYS DOH technologist standards
- ASCP preferred or NCA certification
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Pay:
$ $63.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

Experience:
Laboratory Technologist: 1 year (required)
License/Certification:
