POSITION
SUMMARY:
The Housekeeping Associate is responsible for cleaning assigned areas as requested and assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports the mission, vision, and goals of the organization, upholding and promoting the company culture and vision.
- Cleans and maintains assigned areas including public areas and resident rooms.
- Cleans restrooms, including counters, mirrors, sinks, lavatories, and fixtures in apartments and common areas.
- Vacuums carpeted areas and mops tile floors.
- Spot cleans walls and windows.
- Dust's furniture and empties trashcans.
- Cleans baseboards, pictures, lights, and HVAC vents.
- Assists with activity room setups, which could requirement movement of furniture.
- Attends training courses at community and maintains up to date monthly, quarterly, annual training through designated Learning Management System (LMS).
- Other duties as assigned, and which relate to the success of the community and the care, comfort, and happiness of our residents.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
- General knowledge of housekeeping.
- Ability to use all required equipment.
- Must have excellent communication skills, problem solving skills and time management.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff and vendors.
- Must work well within a team as well as independently.
- Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
- Performs other duties consistent with the position as assigned.
PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Walk/Stand must be able to continuously walk and stand.
- Environment Condition must be able to perform work both inside and outside.
- Sit sit infrequently.
- Lift constantly 010 pounds, frequently pounds.
- Carry constantly 010 pounds, frequently pounds.
- Push constantly 010 pounds, frequently pounds.
- Climb must be able to climb stairs on a frequent basis, with the opportunity to utilize the elevator as an alternate resource if available.
- Bend must be able to bend at the waist, knees, hips and spine on a frequent basis, may require frequently manipulating weights of 25 pounds or more.
- Squat must be able to squat on a frequent basis to reach below the knee, may require lifting of 50 pounds or less.
- Twist or rotate must be able to twist or rotate occasionally at the trunk, hips, knees, and neck while, manipulating weights of 25 pounds or more.
