Description

TThe Ground Transportation Manager reports to the Operations Manager and is responsible for complete oversight of financials and operations for Ground Transportation Operations at all Cruise Terminals, ensuring 24/7 professional operations management.

Ground Transportation Operations Manager also works closely with Finance Department on maintaining our partnering Operators' contact information updated for billing/Account Receivable, as well as supporting employee initiatives, organizational objectives, ensuring that all customer experiences are the best that they can be.

Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors in potentially uncomfortable weather conditions, able to work on weekends/holidays as needed, and comfortable working in crowded spaces.


Description of Duties:


  • Responsible for the daytoday operations at all Cruise Terminals' Ground Transportation area. Work closely with LAZ Parking and establish firm communication with various Departments to ensure seamless operations, increased revenue, minimized expenses, and customer satisfaction is maximized by maintaining the highest level of service thresholds and initiatives that are aligned with the expectations of the Port of Galveston.
  • Responsible for all Cruise Terminals' Ground Transportation area facility upkeep, cleanliness, safety, and maintained to standards; supervise ongoing maintenance projects to ensure quality and timely completion. Responsible for revenue control equipment performance, applies all preventive measures as needed to prevent loss through theft, error, defect, and/or Vandalism; perform necessary repairs and/or complete incident report as needed.
  • Responsible for monitoring weekly Ground Transportation Activity Usage Report and completion of Month-End Reporting. Monitor Aging Report and follow up on outstanding invoices/Account Receivable, as well as ongoing parking enforcement and financial performance analysis.
  • Assist the Operations Manager with special projects including, but not limited to market studies and rate structure assessments to improve the operation. Prepares brochures, maps, and informational materials for public dissemination. Actively participates in planning and developing of special events, new locations, Ground Transportation programs, policies, procedures, facilities/service upgrades, and other projects, programs, and initiatives that may arise from the operation of assigned portfolio.
  • Assist the Operations Manager with a variety of administrative tasks, including, but not limited to data entry, drafting correspondence, process payments, process refunds, and other business documents organizing. Applies and implements standards of performance by submitting to management new ideas, concepts, and procedures relative to changing organizational and staffing needs.
  • Fill in to provide coverage for front line positions, as needed.
  • Additional related duties as assigned.

Pay:
$50, $60,000.00 per year
