Overview:
Acuity is seeking a CDS Administrator to support a large federal government agency. Employee will normally perform on-site, at a secure government location Monday through Friday during normal business hours.

Must be willing and able to perform on-call after hours and on weekends within contractual response times to support system operations, maintenance, and sustainment.


Administrator is required to be on site 3 days a week in Washington, DC, and 2 days a week in Beltsville, MD.

There will be occasional trips to Newington, VA for Training and Development.


Responsibilities:

80% of the incumbent's duties will include the following:


Description of Duties:


  • Managing Windows Server and Red Hat Linux Operating System Environments.
  • Storage and Data Management Including Managing File Permissions, Drive Space Monitoring, and File Transfers.
  • Active Directory Management Including Security Group and Account Management.
  • Assist in System Patching, Software, and Module Installation.
  • Assist in Keeping Systems in Compliance with Security Requirements.
  • Work as part of a team to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve various IT infrastructure problems.
  • Assist in running and maintaining scripts to identify potential system impacting issues.
  • Provide level 2 support to end user requests.
  • Utilize and Update Documentation Outlining Processes and Procedures.
  • Assist in providing support for after hours, oncall issue impacting system health.
20% of the incumbent's duties will include the following:


Description of Duties:


  • Install, configure, and maintain primary and alternate site crossdomain solutions.
  • Engage with technical experts from the National Cross Domain Services Management Office (NCDSMO), DoD, the IC, CDS vendors, and the CDS user community to identify and solve information sharing and security challenges.
  • System security design processes, defenseindepth/breadth, engineering lifecycle, information domains, principles of IA (confidentiality, integrity, nonrepudiation, availability, access control), and security testing.
  • Plans, implements, and operates network services/systems, to include hardware and virtual environments.
  • Responding to trouble calls and outages and the inherent problems of maintaining operational CDS deployments.
  • Integrating obligations/policies to enhance the security and stabilization of CDS platforms.
  • Identifying software bugs and shortcomings in PL4 guards.
  • Develop and implement security controls and formulate operational risk mitigations along with assisting in security awareness programs.
  • Assist in the implementation of the required government policies and make recommendations on process tailoring.
  • Deploying CDS to CONUS locations and working with local government personnel to complete integrations.
  • Working within a team environment.
  • Support rotational oncall support.
  • Work individually and actively participate in integrated teams.
  • Need to understand how files move across the network.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with CDS teams to operate and maintain enterprise cross domain systems and mission specific solutions.
  • Experience administrating Windows Server Operating Systems, and RedHat Enterprise SELinux for use in CDS deployments
  • Experience with the underlying security architectures, of CDS Raise the Bar, RAIN, Multilevel File Transfers, and Reliable Human Review.
  • PowerShell / Python scripting / programming experience a plus
  • Experience in responding to trouble calls and outages and the inherent problems of maintaining operational CDS deployments
  • Experience guiding a system or solution through the Security Authorization Process, in accordance with DCID 6/3 and the NISCAP documentation process
  • Experience with PuriFile, GlassWall, Sophus, Aware, ImageMagick, and McAfee products.
  • Knowledge of the Federal Government wide Zero Trust Cybersecurity initiative.
  • Must be willing to travel, as needed, up to 40%.

Desired skills/certifications:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of CDS systems and related Cyber security principles.
  • Knowledge / expertise in systems security engineering, including requirements analysis and system architecture design
  • Ability to clearly present technical approaches and findings.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 support for deployed CDS technologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • CompTIA Security+, Network+.
Clearance Requirement

  • Must have an Active DOD Top Secret clearance, verifiable in JPAS/DISS
