    Internship Project Overview

    The 2024 Process Management internship will be focused on publishing standard operating procedures (SOPs)for positions within the organization and conducting time studies associated with the established procedures. Franklin Logistics' goal is to formalize all processes and capture the current time needed to successfully and accurately complete each task. The data from this project will be shared with organizational leadership to identify inconsistencies and opportunities for continuous improvement within the organization. The 2024 Office Administration Intern is a hourly paid internship position reporting directly to the Office Manager.

    The ideal candidate for the 2024 internship should possess skills surrounding the use of data collection, detailed observations, and project management. The candidate should be comfortable with presenting to multiple levels of leadership within the organization. Organization skills and ability to stay on task with minimal supervision is a plus as the candidate will be tasked with both individual and partnered tasks associated with the project. The candidate for this project should have scholarly writing capabilities required for drafting detailed SOPs.

    Schedule hours: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm

    This is an on-site internship based within our corporate office located at 900 Kriner Road, Chambersburg, PA This internship will work in multiple locations within Chambersburg to conduct on-site observations of tasks being conducted. A company vehicle is available for this purpose.

    Requirements:

    Current college student or recent college graduate

    • Proficient in Microsoft products such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
    • Proficient in data collection and analysis
    • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
    • Must be able to work on-site for the duration of the program
    • Valid Driver's License required if using a company vehicle

    The 2024 internship is open to all college grade levels and is currently focused on a summer term internship with the opportunity to extend into fall and/or winter.
