    We are seeking a Part-Time Dentist to work at a county jail(s) in New Jersey.
    • Morristown, NJ Morris County, 43 John St, Morristown, NJ 07960; 7:30-3:30, 3 Fridays/month (Thurs. work best; other days can be considered)
    • Woodstown, NJ Salem County, 125 Cemetery Rd, Woodstown, NJ 08098, 7:30-3:30, 2 Wednesdays/month (No flexibility of days)
    • Belvidere, NJ Warren County, 175 County Road 519, Belvidere, NJ 07823; 7:30, 2 Wednesdays/month (1/2 day)
    Correctional dentistry is a unique, challenging, and exciting opportunity for dentists because it allows you to provide patient care without the interference and barriers associated within a private practice. This is the perfect opportunity to provide dentistry in a public health setting, while improving health outcomes.

    Responsibilities:
    • Perform dental services within designated hours of operations.
    • Utilize universal precautions for patient dental care.
    • Exam, diagnose and treat patients consistent with professional standards and defined scope of service.
    • Document patients' needs for every dental encounter utilizing the SOAP format, update the patient health history, and obtain patient consent prior to delivering of care.
    • Keep patient information confidential and respect patients' rights to privacy, in accordance with accepted confidentiality practices for incarcerated individuals.
    Requirements
    • Graduate from an accredited school of Dentistry Medicine (DDS/DMD)
    • Experienced clinician preferred
    • Must have more than 5 years of experience
    • Must have 4 or more years of experience in oral surgery (strong skills)
    • Active and unrestricted State Dental License
    • Must be willing to stay overnight to facility, must work on a Friday
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Great interpersonal skills
