Job Summary
This position is responsible for verifying and maintaining records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment.

Duties include addressing, and shipping merchandise or material; receiving, unpacking, verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material; printing delivery paperwork, and arranging for the transportation of products.

Duties and Responsibilities

Arranging daily deliveries, LTL's and parcels
Examine shipment contents and compare with records such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy.
Extensive knowledge of product and part numbers.
Record shipment data, such as weight, damages, or discrepancies for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
Send receiving documents to purchasing, and communicate any discrepancies.
Prepare documents, such as shipping orders to route materials, and delivery paperwork.
Confer or correspond with Purchaser, and Branch Manager with problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
Quality Control; verify product, counts, and sizes.
Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping
Maintain inventory levels on resale items.
Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
Deliver or route materials in warehouse using forklift or hand truck
Requisition and store shipping materials, and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
Determine shipping methods, routes, or rates for materials to be shipped.
Request quotes, and write purchase orders for LTL shipments.
Run weekly Open Delivery Reports in SAP, and schedule shipments for willcall orders.
Assist shop team with product knowledge
Work with other Flashco Branches regarding transfers/orders and freight
General errands for shop as needed including ordering of office materials
