Location: Tucker, GA

FLSA: Exempt

Job Summary: The Senior Accountant is responsible for assisting with the financial recording and reporting requirements of Wellroot and its affiliates. This position will be responsible for the billing, reporting, and accounting for grants and contracts. The Senior Accountant will assist the Controller and other staff as needed to complete duties as assigned by the Controller.

Responsibilities:

Participates in the entry and posting of journal entries in the General Ledger for Wellroot and its related entities.
Assists with completing reconciliations of various balance sheet accounts monthly.
Assist with pre-award and post award grant budget and reporting.
Process monthly billing of grants and contracts and manage the collection of aged receivables.
Posting and monthly reconciliation of Accounts Receivable to General Ledger and Extended Reach.
Posting and reconciliation of charitable contributions report to the General Ledger.
Preparation or posting of adjusting journal entries as appropriate.
Assist with Wellroot annual audit, including but not limited to pulling requested files or identified data, preparing reports and other schedules as assigned by the controller.
Assist program staff with administration of grants, contracts and related audits.
Preparation of other financial management reports and analysis as directed.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university in Accounting or Finance.
4-6 years of general ledger accounting experience.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, efficiently, and simultaneously.
Effective interpersonal communication skills and collaborative workstyle.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Good written and oral communication skills are essential.

Work Environment:

This position is located at UMCH headquarters in Tucker, Georgia. The work is conducted in an office setting. The ability to maintain a flexible work schedule which may include evenings and weekends is required. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. Usually sits in front of a computer 80% of the time.
