Description
The Zaxby's Support Center is looking for aDirector of Franchise Sales
to join the Franchise Development team. The Franchise Sales Director is responsible for nurturing and cultivating franchise growth necessary to achieve development of the Brand.
Working with new and existing franchisees, operations, real estate and supply chain, this position helps to ensure the company's franchising and real estate processes are consistent with our corporate objective of being the franchisor of choice.
As we continue to grow, our strategies have set us up for success to be the top offering in Chicken Fingerz, Boneless Wings and Zalads.
This position is field-based in the
Southeast or Northeast US
regions and requires up to 75% travel.

Essential duties may include but are not limited to the following:
Build and maintain professional relationships with franchisees that are mutually beneficial to both ZFL and franchisees, which ultimately will drive commitment and measurable resultsServe as primary contact for new multi-unit operators and existing franchisees; work through the sales process to turn leads into candidates and candidates into franchiseesEndeavor to meet or exceed sales objectives as outlined in the company's strategic planCommunicate FDD requirements with candidate, direct them to key information found in document, while complying with FTC regulationsReview all franchise applications, personal net worth financial statements, credit worthiness and background history to ensure candidate meets or exceeds minimum requirementsEmphasize throughout the process that the foundation of ZFL is our Culture, Mission and Core ValuesDevelop a perspective, during the courting process, on a candidate's viability within ZFL's culture and communicates concerns so an informed decision can be madeAnticipate potential conflict between new and existing franchisees as related to growth and communicate the situation as needed to the executive teamWork with existing franchisees to assist them in additional development opportunities; coordinate existing franchise growth request with the Expansion Review CommitteeReport progress on candidate status as well as "pipeline" development status to the executive teamFollow up with candidates and assist in moving them along in the decision making processAnswer questions, set up and participate in teleconferences, work with prospective and current franchisees, and pertinent Support Center team members in efforts to close the saleOversee the franchise documentation process for turnover to administrationKEY COMPETENCIES
Strong understanding of the Franchise Disclosure DocumentWorking knowledge on the competitive position of the Company system to other restaurant conceptsWorking knowledge of financial statements and the ability to interpret credit evaluations and demographicsAbility to confidently make decisions, demonstrating good judgmentInitiate situational awareness and the ability to read peopleAbility to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization and all types of peopleAbility to foster meaningful business relationships both internally and externallyMust be able to handle multiple deals at one timeOrganizational and multi-tasking skillsLeadership experienceExpert negotiatorExpert knowledge of the sales process cycle in restaurant industryAbility to close dealsCRM knowledgeEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE GUIDELINES
Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience: 7+ years of Franchise or equivalent industry experience
