Description

Forge Resources Group, a leader in custom short-run steel forgings, is searching for a Plant Manager at our Rockford, IL location.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead and direct the team to meet daily production goals
  • Review daily scrap with Inspection
  • Maintain daily production records
  • Advise of any methods to improve production & quality
  • Work with maintenance department on equipment repair needs and scheduling
  • Identify, plan, implement, and maintain 5S projects
  • Effectively and positively represent the goals of management to staff
  • Maintain compliance with all safety policies and procedures within the plant
  • Previous experience in metal Forging required, experience with Upsetters preferred
  • Knowledge of Upsetters / metal forming equipment
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills in a Union shop
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Physical Requirements:


  • Frequent walking, standing, climbing stairs, and bending at waist
  • Frequent climbing on/off a forklift
  • Occasional lifting up to 40 lbs
