Description
Responsible for the supervision and coordination of assigned administrative and office activities.

Direct supervision of support staff including Office Assistants, Administrative Secretaries / Administrative Assistants, Patient Coordinators, Scheduling Coordinators, data management and/or medical records staff as applicable to area.

Ensures the successful delivery of day to day operational practices and support services.

Responsibilities

  • Schedules and assigns work to ensure proper distribution of assignments and adequate staffing and service delivery.
  • Ensures adequate staffing for unexpected/emergency coverage.
  • Provides guidance, coaching and training for staff.
  • Assists in the creation, review and update of office processes and procedures to ensure efficient and effective administrative activity and operation.
  • Makes recommendations regarding fiscal and staffing requirements of assigned department and participates in budgetary oversight and preparation.
  • Compiles information reflecting expenditures and develops comparisons.
  • Assists in the development of new methods, procedures and/or processes to increase efficiency and to improve service deliver, production, equipment performance, scheduling and quality control.
  • Establishes and maintains liaison with other departments, units or care centers, as well as within own department, to ensure effective coordination of work activities.
  • Fosters an environment of open communication and team work in support of the department and organizations goals and objectives.
  • Ensures compliance with department and organization policies and procedures.
  • Supervises and coordinates various personnel activities including, but not limited to, hiring, performance appraisals, training, disciplining and making salary increase recommendations.
  • Performs other related duties.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree, Bachelors preferred, or a combination of equivalent work/educational experience.
  • 3 years of directly related experience with 1 year in a supervisory role or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

Compensation Statement


The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements.

The salary range for this role is $59, $88,900.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need.

The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
