    Summary:

    Seeking a qualified candidate to lead day to day State and Local Tax Activities with the opportunity to assist with federal and international projects, as needed. Role includes tax forecasting, assisting management in the planning, development and implementation of tax minimization strategies, including project management and results tracking.

    Essential Functions:

    1. Tax Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely preparation of state and local income tax returns, limited sales and use filings, property tax, unclaimed property and other relevant filings. Partnering with an outside firm to ensure all tax laws, regulations, and compliance are in line with applicable requirements.

    2. Tax Planning and Strategy: Work closely with federal and international tax teams to develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize the company's tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, legal, and business leaders, to identify opportunities for tax optimization and efficiency improvements.

    3. Financial Reporting: Prepare and review key components of tax provisions including quarterly and annual financial statements.

    4. Audit Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for state tax-related inquiries and audits from regulatory authorities. Prepare documentation and support materials as needed to respond to inquiries and resolve audit issues effectively.

    5. Tax Research and Analysis: Stay up to date on complex tax issues, including new legislation, regulations, and court rulings.

    6. Risk Management: Identify and assess tax risks associated with business activities and transactions. Develop and implement controls and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.

    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or other business-related field.
    • Master's in Accounting/Tax and CPA preferred.
    • 6+ years of relevant and progressive tax experience including tax planning, compliance, and provision (ASC 740)/SEC. reporting preferably in Big 4 public accounting or publicly held multinational company.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Experience with ONESOURCE tax software and Alteryx is a plus.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment.Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.
