Description:

Come join the Food and Nutrition team at Mercy Medical Center, part of Trinity Health Of New England We are a member of the nationwide Trinity Health family, bringing compassionate care to our communities.

Position Purpose:

This Cafeteria Aide is responsible a variety of cafeteria food preparation and service duties including hot food steam table, grill, and sandwich service and cashiering.

Performs a variety of food service area setup and closing procedures including sanitation duties.

What you will do:

Perform cashiering duties according to approved cashiering procedures, waiting on customers quickly and courteously.
Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with colleagues, patients, and family member.
Food service duties including, sandwich making, grill work, salad bar prep, cleaning, restocking, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED).
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to work in a fast-paced customer service operation.
Experience in a cafeteria type food services operation preferred.
Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks.
