The
Federal Agency for Real Estate Tasks (BImA) - Public Law Institution - is one of the largest real estate owners in Germany.

The spectrum ranges from residential, industrial and commercial properties to military and former military areas, as well as forest and agricultural areas.

Since September 1, 2020, the BImA has taken over the management and development of its approximately 1,255 apartments through its newly established housing division.

The division manages strategically important scattered properties as well as large residential quarters in established urban areas.

With its housing care, the division ensures affordable housing for federal employees, especially in tight housing markets in economically strong regions and major cities.

In addition to the current focus on modernization and maintenance, the housing division is committed to sustainable neighborhood development and has a strong focus on demographic change, digitization, and climate change.

The division is organized into four regional areas, eight customer centers, and 28 service teams.
