Baker Job Description:

We are looking for reliable, coachable, and motivated people who want to learn the Crumbl way and be part of a fun team environment.

A baker will strive to provide excellent service and work in an efficient, professional manner. Bakers will execute, and understand steps to balling dough and frosting cookies. Bakers will perform quality checks on ingredients and finished products. Bakers will be knowledgeable on use of frostings, glazes, fillings, and other toppings to enhance cookie presentation.

To be a successful Baker, an individual will be efficient and friendly with a focus on food quality and customer satisfaction.

Bakers are organized, decisive, attentive, and possess a strong desire to learn and execute.


Baker Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Read and understand recipes
• Measure and combine ingredients, use of mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment to make cookies
• Decorate and displaying finished product
• Test ingredients and finished goods to ensure that each item meets food safety and quality controls
• Greet customers, answer questions, make recommendations, accept orders and payment, and provide exceptional customer service
• Keep records relating to inventory and production levels
• Ensure deliveries are fulfilled accurately and on time
• Clean and restock workstation(s) and ensure that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong communication, time, resource management, and planning skills
• Attention to detail
• Basic math and computer skills
• Willingness to work independently or with other team members to solve problems, plan schedule, fulfill orders, and create amazing baked goods
• Flexibility to work around customer demands, including early morning, night, weekend and holiday availability
• Ability to work in a fun, sometimes hectic environment... stand, walk, bend, use hands, and appliances, and lift heavy items, for extended periods of time

It all started with one big dream, two crazy cousins, and the perfect combination of flour, sugar, and chocolate chips.

After thousands of dollars in wasted dough, recipes that did not live up to their expectations, and cookies that were just plain embarrassing to them today, the cousins decided to try something a little unique, A/B test their way to the perfect cookie.

McGowan, coming from the software world, was accustomed to this methodology of testing.

They would take the exact same cookie, change out one ingredient like chocolate chips and randomly visit local gas stations and grocery stores simply asking one question "Which one of these two cookies is the best?" They continued this testing on ingredients and cooking methods until they came up with what they believe is the world's best chocolate chip cookie.
