This position is responsible for providing the full range of administrative support necessary for the smooth operation of the Centers for Student Success.

These responsibilities include providing administrative support to the Vice Provost for Student Success and overseeing ACE front desk operations.


NATURE AND SCOPE:

The Centers for Student Success offer comprehensive services aimed at the success and retention of undergraduate students at Bryant University.

The Office Coordinator reports to the Director of ACE and the Writing Center.


The Office Coordinator supports the Vice Provost for Student Success through providing the administrative, budgeting, scheduling, and related logístical functions necessary to ensure the Centers' programs and services run smoothly and efficiently.

As appropriate, the incumbent also collaborates on the completion of departmental projects, and assists in the execution and delivery of programs, services and events.


Office Coordination:
The Office Coordinator performs a variety of duties to ensure the smooth operation of the Centers for Student Success:

Administrative Support:
The incumbent provides the full range of administrative support for the Vice Provost for Student Success.

They work with administrative support staff in all areas of Student Success to order office supplies and equipment to ensure that necessary materials are available for students and staff.


Program Support:
The Office Coordinator is responsible for providing support to programs and projects within Student Success. The Office Coordinator trains and oversees ACE front desk student staff.

Budget Management:

The Office Coordinator tracks and maintains multiple budgets within the Centers for Student Success, including ACE and Writing Center; Undergraduate Advising; Student Athlete Support Services; and the Office of the Registrar.

The Office Coordinator handles check requests; approves p-card expenses; and assists with travel arrangements for conferences.

Principal Accountabilities


PRINCIPAL
ACTIVITIES:


  • Maintain the smooth operation of the Centers for Student Success through collaborating with the Vice Provost for Student Success, professional staff, faculty and student employees; track and maintain multiple budgets for Student Success departments; collaborate to support crossdepartmental initiatives with Study Abroad, Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and other offices and academic departments as needed. (55%)
  • Provide support for the Vice Provost for Student Success, along with the ACE Director and Associate/Assistant Directors, i.e., word processing, data entry, handling requests and communications; composing routine correspondence; and coordinating meeting arrangements, including production of program materials, registration, and related logístical arrangements. (25%)
  • Provide logístical and planning support required for the smooth delivery of programs and events offered by the Centers. (15%)
  • Perform other duties as directed. (5%)

Qualifications:

TRAINING/


QUALIFICATIONS:

This position is best served by an individual with excellent office management, organization, and event planning skills; strong computer skills, including experience with word processing, spreadsheets and graphics are required.

Experience in managing budgets is required. Excellent interpersonal skills are required in order to develop positive relationships with faculty, staff, and students. Strong communication skills and presentation skills are preferred.

The ability to handle assignments with myriad details is important as is the ability to navigate changing priorities with agility.

The incumbent needs to accept direction from various individuals yet exercise judgment and work independently.

This position requires skill in planning and directing the work of others in order to effectively oversee student employees, and attentiveness to detail for effective project management.

Experience working with and supervising college student employees preferred. Bachelor's degree preferred.
