    Field Engineering Support Supervisor (Modified)


    This is a modified job posting; only full-time regular employees in North Electric & Gas Field Engineering OR South Electric Field Engineering are eligible to apply for this position.

    We are hiring two (2)

    Field Engineering Support Supervisors

    to lead our North Electric and Gas Field Engineering and our South Electric Field Engineering functions, respectively.

    Some of the key areas of responsibility for these positions include the following:

    Overseeing and scheduling field engineering support for electric and/or gas infrastructure projects
    Overseeing hiring, performance management, training and development, and succession planning efforts for the function
    Advancing and encouraging the use of innovative technology and resources within the engineering support function to execute work
    Providing continuous development to safe work practices to perform field work and maintaining field staff safety records while ensuring zero incident culture
    Creating and managing workflows, templates, standards, specifications, and checklists for team processes
    Planning, organizing, and reviewing work assignments of staff; estimating personnel needs and scheduling work to meet completion dates
    Providing technical guidance and expertise on projects
    Ensuring projects are executed in a cost-effective manner
    Analyzing failure of equipment or procedures
    Developing and implementing standardized design, tests, plans, and forecast methods and procedures

    Who You Are
    Ability to lead a team of field engineering professionals in ways that yield engagement, job satisfaction, professional growth and development, trust, and empowerment
    Relevant and progressively responsible experience in a field engineering capacity supporting electric and/or gas projects
    Possession of a valid, unrestricted driver's license is required; this position requires operating Colorado Springs Utilities vehicles to visit work sites
