Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team.
As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support in a medical office setting as well as in the feild.
Your role will involve coordinating patient care, managing medical records, assisting healthcare providers in delivering quality care, and connecting post-acute patients with needed benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, ensuring efficient and timely service
- Maintain accurate and uptodate medical records, including patient information, treatment plans, and test results
- Communicate with patients to provide information about their appointments, test results, and followup care, take vitals as needed for physicians
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless coordination of patient care
- Assist with insurance verification and claims processing
- Handle administrative tasks such as scribing, scheduling, and intake duties as needed
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is required
- Previous experience in hospice, home health, and palliative care is highly desirable
- Kareo/Tebra EMR experience a plus
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

$ $22.00 per hour
