We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager to execute & control the procurement operation for our company.

In this position, you will coordinate with vendors to maintain a proper supply of product in our (2) warehouses to meet our annual sales targets.

The Purchasing Manager executes all Purchasing activities and Inventory control, and fully understands the financial impacts related to supply and inventory.

Our ideal applicant has a bachelor's degree in business and several years of supply chain experience.

You should also possess advanced analytical skills, high proficiency in Microsoft programs, and detailed accuracy to track & monitor operations.

Responsibilities

• Forecast and arrange annual stock purchases
• Determine best assortment of product per shipment based on item availability from vendor
• Receive shipments in system upon arrival
• Perform monthly forecast/purchase reviews
• Regulate inventory levels at & execute inventory transfers & deliveries to East Coast warehouse
• Work with freight forwarders/brokers to facilitate importation & delivery of product
• Track import costs and manage standard cost calculations
• Control inventory levels, including facilitating monthly cycle counts and reconciliation
• Maintain & create part numbers, BOM's
• Produce monthly inventory status, activity, and shortage reports.
• Process defective merchandise returns
• Arrange Drop Ship PO's for sister offices
• Revise Procedures as needed to make the most efficient operation

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant experience in supply management, with an emphasis in supporting supply chain/operations/distribution
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of purchasing
• Selfmotivated, detailoriented problem solver with strong communications skills, who works effectively with mínimal supervision
• Bachelor's degree in business
• Strong background in statistics and excellent analytical skills
• Proficiency with ERP and standard office software (Excel, Word, are required)
• Japanese speaking/reading/writing, a PLUS.

Pay:
$65, $75,000.00 per year
