    Description

    Title: Fiber Optic Network Engineer

    Duration: 2+ years, can extend, can convert

    Location: Fully on-site in Orlando, FL

    Target Pay Range: $75-85/hr

    Required Skills & Experience:

    10 years in the telecommunications Industry as a Network or Operations Engineer

    Strong knowledge of fiber-optic design and installation best practices

    Strong knowledge of GPON, Fiber-based networks, and OLT/ONT experience

    Solid understanding of radio frequency (RF), wireless, and cellular networks

    Demonstrated understanding of various fiber optic measurement and testing tools (i.e. OTDR), fiber optic splicing and best practices

    Solid understanding of network protocols to include: BGP, OSPF, RIP, ISIS, MPLS, etc.

    Advanced user of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio

    Experience with ArcGIS, 3GIS, Patch Manager, or similar tools

    Make sure- they have a degree and experience as stated or do not submit -- must have 4 year Technical Degree with appropriate certification

    or more technical certifications within information technology (IT), networking, security, telecommunications, etc.

    -On call schedule will rotate among team members- every 8 weeks or as needed.

    Must be onsite 5 days per week in Orlando - No exceptions

    Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

    Calix, Cisco, HP-Aruba, or equivalent industry certifications in networking or telecommunications (Calix E7, CCNA, CWNA, CCNP, ACMA, ACMP, CWS, ECSE, etc.)

    Fiber Optics and Infrastructure best practices

    RCDD certification

    Job Description:

    The Telecom team is looking for an individual with strong technical and troubleshooting skills to support GPON based fiber-optic and wireless networks at parks and resorts. The Sr. Tech Specialist must be a subject matter expert (SME) responsible for in-depth analysis, configuration, testing and validation of fiber optic networks and GPON solutions across property. The individual must also have a strong understanding of Optical networking, IP networking, and telephony demonstrated through past examples.

    Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

    Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
