OUR CLIENT

The E. Zimmermann meatworks are a traditional manufacturer of meat and sausage products with an annual turnover of 80 million euros. Today, approximately 350 employees work at the Thannhausen location. The product portfolio includes various meat and sausage products, typical Bavarian specialties, as well as pasta and canned products in conventional and organic quality. In addition, various private label brands are also offered.

YOUR NEW CHALLENGE

  • You report directly to the managing director and lead a team of five purchasing professionals
  • You are responsible for the entire purchasing area, which includes the procurement of raw materials and packaging materials, as well as technical purchasing and the procurement of services, construction services, and investment goods
  • You continuously work on optimizing purchasing processes and conditions systems
  • You conduct price and contract negotiations, contract closures, and annual discussions

YOUR PROFILE

  • You have successfully completed a degree in business administration or engineering or a comparable education and have several years of professional experience in leading purchasing roles
  • You have sound knowledge of commercial and contract law, have several years of practical experience in negotiating contracts with suppliers, and have good knowledge of food technology
  • You are proficient in common office programs and preferably SAP
  • You are competent and confident in negotiations, know how to motivate your team, and think long
