The Position

Michael Best is seeking an
entry-to-mid level, driven, and organized full-time
Management Coordinator in our
Milwaukee and
Waukesha Offices. Recent graduates, soon-to-be graduates, or current graduate students with a very flexible schedule are welcome to apply

This role provides support to the Firm's Managing Partner and Executive C-Suite Team.

This position offers great experience for anyone considering law school, or anyone who wants experience working in the legal, professional services environment.

You will work closely with executives in a challenging and fast-paced environment, gaining exposure to all aspects of a professional legal services organization.

You will work on administrative tasks and serve as a liaison between the executive team and leaders of practice groups, marketing, finance, recruiting, and human resources.

We believe in career development and progression - this role is a stepping-stone within the Firm. Our Management Coordinators often progress into business development, marketing, and strategic operations roles within the Firm.

As we have done with our prior incumbents, after the initial 9-12 months in role, the Management Coordinator who performs at a high level will be given the opportunity to move into a different role within the firm that matches their interests, skills, and the firm's needs.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Complete a broad variety of tasks for the Managing Partner, including:
  • Manage an active calendar of appointments, agendas, meetings, and travel plans
  • Compose and prepare highly confidential correspondence
  • Create and compile executive and management committee meeting materials and agendas including PowerPoint presentations and Excel spreadsheets
  • Prioritize and followup on incoming issues and matters, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature. Discretion of the highest nature is mandatory
  • Work closely and effectively with the Managing Partner and Executive Team to keep them well informed and up to date on upcoming commitments and responsibilities. Proactively work with the Managing Partner and Executive Team to collect necessary information and data needed for regularly occurring meetings or projects
  • Prioritize conflicting needs under aggressive deadlines
  • Maintain discretion and confidentiality

Job Requirements:


Knowledge Base & Education:


  • Bachelor's degree required. Recent grads from any major are welcome to apply.

  • Ability to work 3545 hours per week
  • Ability to learn and embrace new skills and best practices as the position evolves and Firm needs change.
