Description
To assist in providing IT support to all staff within Division of Cancer Medicine


Assists in providing direct technical expertise and support necessary to maintain various Information Systems and computer systems throughout the Division of Cancer Medicine Including Research.


  • Assists in providing recommendations for appropriate system improvements, modifications and development/design/reengineering. Assist in resolving complex problems using all available technology, and acts as an internal consultant in specialized projects and products.
  • Assists in the formulation and definition systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements.
Follow up with requestors, management, divisional and institutional resources; document issues and resolutions; track and request hardware. Attend routine Departmental/Divisional/Institutional Meetings.

  • Will assist in maintaining hardware and software inventory for your primary supported department(s) and the Division of Cancer Medicine Property Administrator including the relocation of equipment as necessary.
  • Update, assign and respond to request in Service Now in a timely manner.
  • Consults with departmental and divisional personnel for problem definition and management requirements.
  • Follow up with user, vendor, institutional resources, colleagues and others to ensure the user issue(s) is resolved.
  • Submits a log daily summarizing work on special projects, I.T request and routine activity. Attend weekly, monthly and special meetings as required.
Assists with coordination of system improvements between DoCM I.T. & user department & provides necessary documentation & consultation for implementation of system.

  • Assists with coordination/consultation with DoCM I.T., and the Division of Information Services to maintain standardization and architecture consistent with institutional strategies and guidelines. Assist with special projects as necessary.
  • Will assist in maintaining hardware and software inventory for the supported department(s) and the Division of Cancer Medicine Property Administrator including the relocating of equipment as necessary.

Education Required:
Bachelor's degree.


Preferred Education:
Bachelor's Level Degree


Experience Required:
None.

May substitute required education degree with additional years of related experience on a one-to-one basis or completed years of college on a one-to-one basis.
