Summary:

The Accounting Analyst II role is a key position within the Accounting Department.

This role is expected to perform a wide range of analytical assignments, utilizing expertise to provide essential operational support to the team.

The role requires a strong attention to detail and an ability to work independently to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.

Must be a team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Ability to research and gain a deeper understanding of other departments processes and hierarchies. This will enable role to offer valuable insights and solutions that streamline operations and enhance organizational efficiency.
  • Possess excellent communication abilities, with a strong emphasis on follow up, and a talent for creative problemsolving.
  • Establish and cultivate productive working relationships with external vendors, acting as a central point of contact for all related matters.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and testing of processes to validate their accuracy and effectiveness, including financial entries and security protocols.
  • Ensure internal processes adhere to external regulations and company policies.
  • Document postaudit findings and recommend improvements.
  • Share findings and best practices within relevant departments.
  • Develop and modify policy and procedures for all areas within the company.
  • Prepare and review internal and external documents for distribution.
  • Provide support to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on assigned projects.
  • Support colleagues with significant tasks as necessary, ensuring the completion of large projects on time.
  • Provide guidance to Level I Analysts in addition to:
  • Invoice Routing System expert, manage day to day activities, reporting, and troubleshooting.
  • Reconcile credit card transactions and assist users with administrative needs.
  • Perform reporting functions, downloading, formatting, and manipulating data.
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely recording of all cash management activities to support custodial and corporate transactional needs.
  • Assist Travel and Expense manager with auditing expense reports, managing travel, and other administrative needs.
  • Provides support on major accounting projects.
  • Performs audits on accounts payables in terms of vendors research what department is incurring the expense and why the need for it.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Understanding of Accounting Principles.
  • Understanding of Expense reimbursement process.
  • Understanding of Accounts Payable process.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS-Office tools including Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education and/or Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with accounting software.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.


Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.


Reasoning Ability:


Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
