    Description

    Join our team at UNM Hospitals today as an Emergency Department Registered Nurse

    • Participate in the Clinical Advancement Program to receive up to $8.00 in additional compensation, depending on education and national certifications.
    • Sign-on Bonus and Relocation Reimbursement available
    • 17% weekday nights, 26% weekend nights, or 15% weekend day shift differentials.
    • Callback is opened 7 days a week. Some weekends will be required. Holidays off. Work hours are 8 hours shifts.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assign nurses, technicians, and nursing care to patients using independent judgment.
    • Designate shift and schedule assignments, call in staff, send staff home, and monitor attendance.
    • Provide clinical leadership for nursing and technician staff. Ensure adequate staff to meet patient census.
    • Supervise staff and patient care delivery on designated shift and serve as a clinical resource for staff.
    • Act as a liaison between physicians, staff, patients, families, and other departments to promote and facilitate communication, problem solving, decision-making, crisis intervention, resource utilization, and conflict management.
    • Deliver direct care to assigned patients and ensure patient care is delivered in accordance with quality standards.
    • Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients/families in accordance with Hospitals standards.

    Qualifications:

    • Program Graduate or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from a nationally accredited program.
    • 2 years of directly related experience and holds a current RN license in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM.
    • Current CPR/BLS certification for Healthcare Providers or Professional Rescuers.
