    Description

    Join our team of Inpatient Registered Nurses (RN) in the Operating Room We offer a Clinical Advancement Program with up to $8.00/hr in added compensation based on education and certifications. Sign-on bonus and relocation reimbursement available

    Position Summary:

    • Provide direct nursing care to assigned patients using the nursing process.
    • Assume relief charge duties when designated, and act as clinical leader for other staff.
    • Serve as a role model to promote a positive work environment and quality patient care.
    • Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. Patient care assignment may include neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric age groups.

    Responsibilities:

    • Deliver safe direct care to an assigned group of patients.
    • Work in collaboration with the healthcare team, implement and document individualized care plans incorporating age specific considerations.
    • Assist with special tests and procedures, and ensure proper consent has been obtained.
    • Participate in orientation and preceptor training, and evaluate new personnel.
    • Administer medication, including IV medication, via the Seven Rights; document and communicate clinical findings.
    • Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients/families in accordance with Hospitals standards.
    • Enhance professional growth and development through various educational programs.
    • Follow patient safety-related policies, procedures and protocols.
    • Demonstrate proactive approach to patient safety by seeking opportunities to improve patient safety.
    • Identify and report/correct environmental conditions and/or situations that may put a patient at undue risk.

    Requirements:

    • Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program.
    • Active RN license in New Mexico or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM.
    • Nationally certified in area of specialty (preferred).
    • CPR for Healthcare/BLS within 30 days of hire.
    • PALS, TNCC, and/or ENPC certification (preferred).
    • Minimum of 1 year nursing experience preferred.
    • Bilingual in English/Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo (preferred).

    This job operates in a medical center environment and may include exposure to hazardous materials requiring use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
