Software Engineer – Dashboards . This position will be joining our team based in the

Tysons, VA area .

This position will focus on collecting system health metrics, ingesting into a cloud environment, and building dashboards that allow customers to understand the status of their missions.

The ideal candidate will have experience with data engineering and data storytelling. This position will require collaboration with other teams to gather, understand, and format the various system health metrics.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the development team, debugging various development and O&M processes, and maintaining system documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Work with fellow team members to understand user requirements, build data pipelines to move log data, ingest logs into a searchable repository, and build visualizations that turn raw data into actionable information.

Recommend COTS products, open-source software, or custom solutions that will enable system health monitoring in a specialized environment from scratch

Required Qualifications:

The team has multiple openings at different levels of experience:

Senior: 8 years of experience in data engineering

Expert: 10-12 years of experience in data engineering

SME:
15+ years of experience in data engineering

Experience with analytics and visualization tools like Tableau, Kibana, and Grafana

Experience with relational databases and NoSQL databases

Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle

Knowledge of software practices and configuration management.

Experience with JIRA, Git, Artifactory, or related tools

Experience working on large mission critical software projects

Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment

Desired Qualifications:
Understanding of syslog and SNMP data

Experience with Kibana Machine Learning features

Experience with visualization frameworks such as , V Charts, or Chartkick

Experience with Elasticsearch

Experience with Extract, Load, and Transform (ETL) tools

Experience with Amazon Web Services

Position Clearance Requirement:
TS/SCI with FSP
