IT Forensic Expert (m/f/d)

The Federal Cartel Office is an independent competition authority within the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action.

The office is located in Bonn and employs approximately 450 staff members, half of whom have a legal or economic background.

For more information, please visit Our task is to ensure fair competition. Therefore, our decision-making departments conduct searches in companies from all sectors of the economy to uncover cartels.

With the increasing use of electronic evidence such as laptops, smartphones, email and file servers, and data from cloud services, the IT Forensics Department (Z3A) is responsible for making these large amounts of data accessible to our decision-making departments.

We are currently seeking a full-time or part-time IT Forensic Expert (m/f/d) (reference number:
to join our team at the earliest possible date.

The IT Forensics Department (Z3A) is responsible for supporting our decision-making departments by technically securing IT evidence during on-site searches at companies and preparing this data for further investigation.

Some of the exciting tasks you will be involved in include:
Developing topics such as mobile phone forensics and cloud searches. Collaborating on the standardization and further development of preliminary investigation measures. Standardizing case processing. Assisting in investigations in various sectors of the economy to uncover economic cartels in interdisciplinary investigation teams. Advising our decision-making departments on effective technical investigation methods and the resulting analysis efforts, as well as preparing for searches
