At the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law, researchers investigate fundamental questions and current issues in international law, European Union law, and public law of various states, together with numerous visiting researchers from around the world.

Our library is the largest specialized legal library in Europe in its fields and one of the largest in the world.

The Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law is currently seeking a full-time or part-time Human Resources Administrator (m/f/d) to join our personnel department as soon as possible.

The position is initially limited to one year and will be remunerated according to the Collective Agreement for the Public Service (TVöD-Bund) up to pay grade 9b, depending on personal qualifications.


Your responsibilities:
Processing all personnel matters at the institute (from hiring to termination of employment)

Independent creation and processing of job descriptions and evaluations Employment contract design Consulting and providing information to employees on all questions related to collective bargaining, labor, social security, and tax law Conducting computer-based personnel administration (SAP/HR) Handling reporting obligations (social security and VBL) Creating statistics Travel management and expense reporting Your profile:
Completed training in administration, personnel, or business field Professional experience in public administration Knowledge of public collective bargaining law (TVöD), social security and tax law, and labor law (TzBfG, WissZeitVG, BetrVG) Experience with a payroll program (ideally SAP/HR
