Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborates with management, safety committee and employee input to develop, prepare, and implement safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, and codes.
  • Authority to take immediate corrective actions regarding health and safety matters.
  • Ensures completion of required OSHA recordkeeping and reporting.
  • Lead the safety committee and organize annual safety day
  • Identifies opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, incidents.
  • Conducts employee training on applicable safety programs.
  • Conducts safety inspections and audits to assess employee compliance with safety regulations.
  • Conduct injury and incident investigations establish Root Causes provide mitigation plans.
  • Select, recommend and order PPE and other safety related products, equipment and materials.
  • Work closely with On-Site, Clinics and our WC insurance carrier.
  • Represent KEI on corporate safety calls 3 times per week and assigned duties resulting from that call
  • Perform all incidents/accidents reporting, investigation and follow up
  • Chair safety committee, hold monthly meetings, maintain safety manual
  • Perform gate checks at 4 lots periodically throughout the month
  • Performs other related health and safety duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma
  • Education, training or job experience in Safety Management
  • Assertive
  • OSHA knowledge
  • Speaks and understands English; bilingual Spanish is required
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Must have a valid driver's license with good record
  • Computer skillsMicrosoft word, excel
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Professional appearance and interpersonal skills for meeting and developing relationships a must.
