Electrical Estimator

Overview:

This role, reporting to the Chief Estimator/Designer/Engineer, entails providing accurate and timely estimates for securing new projects. The Electrical Estimator will engage in bid follow-ups, client interactions, and stay updated on industry innovations.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Interpret plans and specifications to create precise takeoffs
  • Conduct postbid followups, negotiating scope and pricing
  • Stay abreast of electrical product innovations and processes
  • Input accurate takeoffs using Estimating Software and Bluebeam
  • Develop client relationships to secure business
  • Complete budgets and attend prebid walkthroughs as needed

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of experience in estimating low voltage systems

Knowledge of electrical construction and bidding processes

  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle large work volumes efficiently
  • Proficiency in computer operations
  • Team player with problemsolving abilities

Additional Responsibilities:


  • Travel as necessary
  • Maintain material pricing knowledge
  • Complete bid forms and correspondence
  • Analyze labor needs and develop schedules
  • Liaise with purchasing for accurate system quotes
  • Maintain client relationships and update databases

Work Environment:

Primarily office-based with occasional site and vendor visits.


Pay:
$100, $180,000.00 per year
