SUMMARY:

The Accountant ensures accurate and timely completion of: Accounts Payable, Job Costing, General Ledger, Billing and Accounts Receivable functions as well as monthly reporting.

We are looking for someone who has ample experience and years spent in the "Accountant" seat on a team with multiple business units.

This role would be a part of our Back of House team and support as a Corporate/Staff Accountant natured role.

This position is a full time FLSA exempt position. It requires at least 40 hours per week with the ability to work more if necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

General Ledger

All GL entries
Analysis and Preparation of Financial Statements
Lead month end closing process

Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

Processes incoming invoices
Oversees and processes all incoming and outgoing cash transactions
Maintains and balances weekly cash pages for multiple accounts

Job Costing

Assists with preparation of client billings
Makes Job Cost Adjustments as required
Audits all outgoing client bills for accuracy and prepares sworn statements
Prepares monthly margin report and investigates any abnormalities

General Accounting Functions

Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations
Develop and implement internal controls and accounting procedures
Support ERP development, improvement, ensure data integrity
Assists with billing as required
Assist with Budgeting and Forecasting
Reviews and approves all transactions exporting from Procore to Sage
Assists with external audits as necessary
Bank Reconciliation

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field of study; or 5+ equivalent years of practical work experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office products
Experience in Sage 300 Accounting software or the ability to learn to navigate and use the software quickly is required
Analytical and detailoriented
Proactive and selfmotivated
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Team player and ability to collaborate effectively
Ideally, looking for someone with 810 years in an Accountant role.
