    Description

    Director of Nursing

    The Director of Nursing oversees the nursing and clinical staff and overall clinical operations of an ambulatory surgical center. Responsibilities include evaluating and guiding all clinical employees, setting goals, establishing and enforcing healthcare policies, and coordinating patient care from admission to discharge. This entails managing procedures scheduling, inventory control, QA/QI, staff credentialing, maintenance, safety, risk management, and other support services for the center and its personnel.

    Requirements:

    • Active RN license in NJ
    • BSN degree preferred
    • 3-5 years of supervisory experience with strong leadership skills. Background in ambulatory surgery center environment is a plus
    • Strong decision-making and communication abilities
    • Able to perform well under pressure in peri-operative settings
    • Ensures patient needs align with physician instructions and facility policies
    • Fosters positive relationships with colleagues and leaders
    • Proficient in analyzing clinical data and correlating with patient care
    • Clear and efficient direction to clinical staff
    • Familiarity with regulatory and accreditation standards
    • Experience in budget management
    • Collaborates with the Administrator regularly
    • Maintains confidentiality of patient data and medical records
    • Participates in nursing staff recruitment, training, and onboarding
    • Provides continuous education and implements new procedures
