Job Description

As a Security Officer - Flex Walking Patrol in Alexandria, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site teams, and provide outstanding customer service to employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the food and beverage production and/or warehouse location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points.

Monitor access control activities such as checking identification, managing visitor sign-in, verifying deliveries and/or drivers, and directing traffic flow in accordance with site procedures.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and communicating timely updates to site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Complete detailed patrol logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and report maintenance issues such as damaged doors, gates, fencing, lighting, and/or alarms observed during rounds.

Minimum Requirements:

Access Control/Badge Experience - preferred.

Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet - preferred.

Customer Service Experience - preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
