    Job Overview:


    The quality department is in search of a new team member to support the launch of the new Sprinter performing Failure Analysis on single components and the complete vehicle.

    Define and implement required processes and train Team Members. Working close with the measurement team of body in white to assure a constant quality level for the product. Identify failure and define measures of correction based on complex measurements resulting out of the failure analysis.

    Responsibilities:
    ·

    Implement the failure analysis process for the plant W566 as well as alignment of the process. Conduct failure analysis for plant. Compare the results of the Failure Analysis with the MBV plants worldwide.
    ·

    Failure analysis as needed in the measurement center, conduct special measurements.
    ·

    Ongoing creation and improvement of concepts, methods, and processes as well as the steps of the failure analysis.
    ·

    Create special measurements plan in alignment with the series measurements:

    fixtures and gauges, define checkpoints. Create documentation.
    ·

    Improvement of existing methods and processes in cooperation with the MB-Sprinter head plant in Germany.
    ·

    Develop and purchase special fixtures and gauges under consideration of budget and cost and timing.
    ·

    Project management and project lead of Q-Release for innovations and new products.
    ·

    Follow all plant safety rules and policies.
    ·

    Understands and promotes the integrity code. The Common Guiding Principles at Daimler.
    ·

    Prepare and maintain CMM programs. Exchange and comparison of measurement results with the MBV plants worldwide.
    ·

    Interface to the R&D department in Stuttgart/Germany.
    ·

    Participates in regularly scheduled team meetings.
    ·

    Perform other duties as required.
    Qualifications

    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or similar, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field.
    5+ years of experience in comparable areas of production and quality management within the Daimler Group.
    Profound knowledge in area of product engineering process and Quality/Measurement systems in the Van division.
    Experienced in failure analysis and defect remedy processes within Van division.
    Proficient in programming of measurement instruments and equipment at Siemens-NX, Engineering Client, Smaragd, Dialog, Zeus, Caligo, or CNN machine.
    Good network to cooperate with R&D HQ and Quality departments within Van division.
    German and/or Spanish language knowledge is a plus.
