- The Clinical Supervisor, working closely with the Nursing Department Director/Manager, is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a clinical department, ensuring quality nursing care and safety.
- Utilizes effective human resource and budget management principles to lead the delivery of nursing services to patients and families.
- Supports comprehensive patient and family services by collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.
- Supervises nursing department staff and provides patient care as needed, while also coaching and guiding team members.
- Demonstrates professionalism and excellence, serving as a role model for clinical and service excellence.
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing, with a preference for BSN and national specialty certification.
- Certification/Licenses: Must hold a current RN license in New Mexico, along with BLS, ACLS, and additional certifications as applicable.
- Skills: Demonstrated ability to provide age-appropriate care and services.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
- Nature of Supervision: Reports to Nursing Leadership
- Environment: Exposure to various patient care activities, infectious diseases, and irregular hours.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to handle emergency situations, stand for extended periods, and demonstrate good body mechanics.
