Amentum is currently seeking a Construction Surveillance Technician to join our team in Huetter, ID. This exciting opportunity will be based in Stuttgart, Germany.


Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Utilizing xray equipment and other technical inspection tools to inspect all construction materials, packages, bags, boxes, crates, and vehicles.
  • Conducting visual inspections of work performed by uncleared personnel to identify any anomalies or potential introduction of clandestine technical devices.
  • Reviewing construction drawings to ensure compliance with approved specifications.
  • Performing risk analysis to determine necessary levels of surveillance and inspection throughout the construction process.
  • Monitoring for any changes in construction that could potentially conceal ulterior motives.
  • Assessing potential locations for clandestine technical surveillance devices used by hostile intelligence services.
  • Providing security escort and access control as needed.
  • Understanding and implementing Technical Surveillance Countermeasures, PHOTOINT, IMINT techniques, and construction principles.
  • Identifying unauthorized materials and assessing industrial or government security requirements.
  • Recognizing and assessing Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs).
  • Understanding and implementing static security techniques and procedures.
  • Interpreting blueprints and technical specifications.
  • Utilizing construction security surveillance techniques.
  • Conducting vehicle and personnel searches.
  • Assessing security practices and procedures for different levels of security.
  • Producing written reports of attempts to gain unauthorized access.
  • Understanding construction terminology, procedures, and practices.
  • Identifying methods used to place technical penetrations or unauthorized materials.
