- Proficient in caring for a specific patient population on the unit; demonstrates solid knowledge and clinical skills; actively seeks to enhance own practice.
- Acts as a clinical mentor for others.
- Incorporates and applies evidence-based practices in daily work.
- Successfully fulfills unit-specific roles, such as being part of the ICU arrest team or ED triage team.
- Works closely with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate and plan patient care; independently advocates for the needs of patients and their families.
- Leads by example in aligning practice with unit protocols to ensure safe, timely, effective, efficient, fair, and patient-centered care.
- Must hold a Registered Nurse license in Maryland or be eligible to practice under Compact state agreements approved by the MD Board of Nursing.
- Minimum of 12 months experience in OR nursing. Demonstrated strong clinical skills and knowledge.
- Current AHA BLS certification is mandatory.
