Description
The faculty member is responsible for instructing and assessing didactic and clinical courses in the DMS Program.

The individual will instruct, evaluate, and observe students in the lab and conduct periodic clinical site visits to ensure students are progressing satisfactorily.

The individual will be responsible for the implementation and continued improvement of coordination of the didactic, campus laboratory and clinical experiences in the sonography program.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and Monitor of the clinical education aspects of the program.
  • Develop and Coordinate additional clinical sites for DMS program.
  • Coordinate clinical activities ensuring students can achieve competencies.
  • Monitor operational activities related to quality patient care and overall department function.
  • Provide instruction for DMS courses, student evaluation, and maintain student records.
  • Uphold high standards of teaching, scholarship, and service.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clinical affiliates and the community at large.
  • Participate in Advisory Committee meetings
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Program Director or Imaging Sciences Chair.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Sonography or related field
  • ARDMS or ARRT Certification in Sonography in good standing
  • ARDMS certification in AB, OB/GYN
  • Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in the discipline

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Minimum of one (1) year of academic appointment in a JRC-DMS accredited program with teaching responsibilities
  • Proficient in clinical supervision and evaluation, instruction, curriculum development and academic advising
  • ARDMS certification in AB, OB/GYN

  • Previous experience with an online learning platform (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard).
