Foil Stamper Operator

The operator's primary function is to operate machines to provide the finishing process of our products. The finishing process may involve die cutting, foil stamping and/or embossing.

This job is one of great responsibility since operator error could result in damage to the equipment, injury to the operator and spoilage of the job.


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Read and thoroughly understand the Job Ticket before starting each job
  • Operate the die cutter at the highest speed possible without compromising job quality and crew safety
  • Exhibit courtesy, patience, and technical competency when working directly with customers
  • Produce jobs at a quality level that meets or exceeds the customers' standard
  • Produce jobs according to the specifications and instructions written on the job ticket
  • Work with glue machine operators to make sure that items being die cut will not cause problems in the gluing departments
  • Properly identify and "flag" press sheets that have questionable quality
  • Maintain professionalism and good working relationship with fellow coworkers
  • Follow proper machinery operating procedures as instructed by the department supervisor
  • Take good care of the die cutter as well as other company properties
  • Perform routine maintenance/repairs and cleaning of the die cutters
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in vicinity of the die cutters
  • Give specific and clear instructions die cutting assistant
  • Make continuous improvement in the execution of all tasks described above

QUALIFICATIONS
The appropriate knowledge, skills and abilities required for this position are achievable through the following combination of education, work experience and training:

  • Two (2) or more years of work experience in Printing; or
  • Any combination of experience, education, and training that provides the level of knowledge, skills, and experience needed to successful perform the job.

Job Type:

2nd shift full time 2:30-11:30 pm, with overtime if needed, Monday-Friday and sometimes on Saturday if needed.

$ $35.00 per hour
