At FDC, our focus is family. We are a small, family-run business that has been around for over 40 years. Our employees know each other by name, not employee number. Our offices are lightly staffed, and most of our business is done outside in the fresh air.
Our Low Voltage technicians spend most of their day traveling in a company-provided vehicle to various customer sites, working outdoors servicing and maintaining gates and access systems.
FDC is looking for Self-Motivated Low-Voltage Technicians to work on Automatic doors, parking garage equipment, access control systems, gate operators and more out of our Melbourne branch.
Work consists of installing and servicing parking equipment, security & surveillance equipment, gate operators, telephone entry systems, automatic door systems and more.
Work located outdoors or indoors depending on job. Company vehicle provided.Responsibilities and Duties
Repair & installation of:
Access control systems, configuring systems, parking and revenue control equipment, gate operators, automatic doors CCTV and surveillance systems
Qualifications and Skills for Gate Operator Techs
(Basic) Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong/high degree of electrical (e.g. mutimeter, Megohmmeter, ohms law) and mechanical knowledge.
- Basic networking/programming knowledge.
- Able to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics.
- efficient working with computers (e.g. Excel).
- able to work outside in all weather conditions.
- able to lift more 50 Ibs.
(preferred) Qualifications & Skills:
- Automatic Door operator experience (AAADM certified).
- Access Control experience.
- Telephone entry experience.
- CCTV experience.
- Automated gate operator experience.
- PARCS experience.
