Description

CES is looking for reliable, detail-oriented individuals to assist Underage Purchasers in performing non-confrontational compliance checks on local tobacco retailers to ensure the sale of tobacco products to Underage Purchasers is restricted.

The inspection is used to establish a retailer's compliance with federal regulations. This work is conducted on a part-time, case-volume basis with flexibility relevant to the individual's schedule. Inspectors will work primarily in the Wilmington area.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Travel with an Underage Purchaser; identify and verify site address provided
  • Facilitate and observe undercover buys in coordination with trained Underage Purchasers
  • Collect evidence of violations, such as photographs and tobacco products
  • Complete compliance check inspection forms, detailing any violations, when applicable

Required qualifications/skills:

  • Must be a current law enforcement official with a valid Peace Officer's license or work for the local, county, or state government in Delaware
  • Reliable transportation
  • Attention to detail
  • Strict adherence to deadlines and privacy

Preferred qualifications/skills:

  • Experience working with minors is preferred

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

  • Smartphone
  • Personal computer/laptop with high speed internet access

Other:

  • All Compliance Inspectors will complete a training session
  • Must be able to undergo a security clearance background check and become credentialed by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

$22.00 per hour
