Description

We are seeking a full-time Accounting Assistant who will be responsible for providing functional support to the Bookkeeper. The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for accurate and timely preparation of various accounting entries, reports, and projects.


Responsibilities:

• Accurate processing of accounts receivable. Prepares billing packets, gathers supplier lien releases, research to resolve billing inconsistencies and errors, research to resolve billing inconsistencies and errors.
• Maintains records of supporting documents for amounts due of work completed.
• Accurate processing of accounts payable. Enter invoices, compare purchase orders, etc.
• Generates lien releases documents and communicates with suppliers to obtain lien releases for billing.
• Maintain accurate construction records and reports (examples: photo logs, change orders, field reports, safety)
• Assist with monthend, quarterly, and yearend closing activities.
• Perform a wide range of accounting and administrative duties to support the accounting department. Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must have prior Construction Billing experience
• Must have prior Lien Release experience
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to professionally communicate with customers, vendors and subcontractors.
• Experience with Sage 100 Contractor preferred
