- Enter, track and file applicant and employee records as duties are assigned.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Assisting with and attending all Dean related hiring events, as assigned.
- Attend a minimum of 2-3 community recruitment events (i.e. MI Works, community college job fairs, etc.) each month. Placing yard signs, banners, and other advertisement in the local communities where Dean services are provided. Identifying job fairs, festivals, and other potential community events.
- Travel to various Dean Operation Sites throughout Michigan will be frequently required (company vehicle will be provided).
- Application review and entry into applicant tracking system. Management and communicating of applicant tracking system with Supervisors, Regional Operations Managers (ROM), and other staff, as needed.
- Follow the Hiring Flow Chart as a guide for who does each step in the onboarding process and complete the Hiring Live Doc (Excel) as designated.
- Review all new documentation (e.g., fingerprint packet, new hire paperwork, affidavits, etc.) to be accurate, timely, and complete before emailing. Follow up on incomplete or missing new hire paperwork.
- Must pass criminal background check and have favorable reference checks.
- Must possess a valid Michigan Driver's License and have an acceptable driving record.
- Prior administrative experience required; prior Human Resources and/or School Bus Transportation experience preferred.
- High School Diploma required, college degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Proficiency with computers, multi-line phone systems and office equipment.
- Demonstrate an excellent attendance record.
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate effective organizational skills.
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
