We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Outpatient Physical Therapist. We are looking for a Physical Therapist who will provide the quality of care that our reputation upholds to our clients and community.

McCook Therapy and Wellness is a small town, rural based clinic that has become well established. Located on the interstate between Sioux Falls and Mitchell, we have established a strong referral base from surrounding medical and orthopedic entities. We serve the communities in and around McCook County. We are located in Salem and Canistota. Each facility is attached to a Wellness Center to provide an ideal continuum of care and promote an atmosphere of health and wellness.

Our clinic prides itself on specialized orthopedic care ensuring our clients of the most up to date clinical interventions. Our therapists work with a variety of patients ranging from: Joint Replacements-Hip, Knee, Shoulder; Pre- and Post- surgical rehabilitation; Pain Management including neck, back, shoulder, elbow; Sports Injuries, General Rehabilitation, Neurological, and Work Hardening. As our Physical Therapist, you will be working with a specialized, diverse team with including a Physical Therapists/Physical Therapy Assistant, Occupational Therapist/Occupational Therapy Assistants, and Wellness personnel. Some of the responsibilities expected are:

• Physical Therapist will plan and implement treatment programs according to clinic policy and South Dakota licensure with the goal of maximizing the patient's level of function and independence in daily life skills.
• Physical Therapist will be responsible to supervise PTA's and maintain good knowledge of current state practice act as such.
• Physical Therapist will note timely documentation of patient records including patient charges, evaluation, daily/progress notes, and recertification/discharges according to clinic and insurance/reimbursement policies.
• Physical Therapist will be integral in participating in clinic and community-based education and promotion to support the success and growth of McCook Therapy and Wellness.

Skills:

- Ability to provide effective patient care with empathy and compassion
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Experience in outpatient therapy preferred but not a must
- Proficient in conducting assessments and developing individualized treatment plans
- Skilled in various therapeutic techniques, including manual skills, graded ther ex, and neuro reeducation
- Experience in sports medicine/athletic training, wellness, and personal training a plus
