Position Overview


Reporting to the CEO, the Senior Vice President, Integrated Supply Chain is responsible for strategic leadership of our chemical manufacturing facilities in North America (Pensacola, FL, Decatur, AL Alvin, TX, Greenwood, SC), Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering (includes Capital) and Logistics functions for the company.

(May include compounding operations as well).


This includes overseeing, development and execution of all manufacturing processes, integrated business plan (IBP), procurement and logistics to ensure maximum efficiency, reliability, productivity, and profitability while maintaining high standards of ESSH, quality and lean manufacturing.


As a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), this role works closely with the CEO and other senior leaders to ensure that the company's strategy for the integrated supply chain is aligned with the overall business strategy; our business is executed on a daily basis at a high level, and is operated consistently with the culture and values of Ascend.

Develop and implement a visionary best-in-class, transformative manufacturing strategy and operational plans that leads to significant and sustainable improvements in cost performance.

Execution should be aligned with the overarching business strategy to drive enhanced customer satisfaction and substantial EBITDA growth.

It should include continual labor optimization, direct and indirect material cost improvement, as well as logistics and supply chain efficiency, leveraging productivity plans and automation.

Key Responsibilities


Lead and oversee the production, reliability, engineering, internal logistics, procurement, and the supply chain function to ensure effective execution of the IBP process to include making strategic recommendations about our global asset utilization.

Drive strong cross-functional collaboration with our commercial business leaders and technology for product translations and new product launch.

Strategically lead and develop new concepts to build organizational improvement, lean manufacturing tools/processes, problem-solving analysis and resolution, best practices sharing, automation and systems thinking.

Create programs that engage the workforce through continuous improvement workshops, suggestions for improvements, recognition and people development.

Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) across the integrated supply chain to identify areas for improvement, drive OEE and efficiency, optimize costs, and make recommendations for changes based on industry trends, technology, and regulations.

Create and implement a culture of productivity, safety, reliability, and cost optimization using six sigma and lean processes to increase efficiency and automation across the organization.

Ensure that all integrated supply chain processes follow customers' and regulatory requirements, best-in-class safety standards, and quality assurance guidelines.

Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external suppliers, and other external stakeholders to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials, logistics and services.

Establish benchmarks to compare and assess overall process efficiency. Champion the implementation of engineering guidelines, including strategic capital needs for capacity expansion, reliability, safety, and automation. Provide strategic leadership and coaching to the integrated supply chain team. Proactively leverage people processes to include hiring, training, development, and performance management.

Collaborate with senior leaders and regions to develop and implement cross-functional initiatives and programs to support the company's overall business strategy, like mergers and acquisitions, new business integration business, and new product line start-ups.

Provide regular updates and reports to the Executive team and other key leaders on the status of the integrated supply chain, key performance metrics, and other relevant information.
